Data protection

General Information

This privacy policy is based on the legal provisions of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. In principle, it is possible to use our website without providing any personal data. Where personal data (e.g. surname, first name, telephone number, postal address or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. Please note that, despite all the measures we have taken, data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities and, therefore, complete protection of data against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed in every case.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. The use of cookies is a way of temporarily storing data and serves to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. The cookies we use most frequently are so-called ‘session cookies’, which have a limited lifespan. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise you as a visitor on your next visit and thus offer you a better user experience. You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set. You can also choose to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis or block them altogether. Furthermore, you can set your browser to automatically delete cookies when you close the browser window. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Server-Log-Files

The hosting provider for this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These include, in particular:

– browser type and version
– operating system used
– referrer URL
– hostname of the accessing computer
– time of the server request

This data cannot be linked to specific individuals. This data is not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to review this data retrospectively should we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use. The primary purpose of this data collection is to analyse and prevent attempts to attack the website. Furthermore, in certain situations, hosting providers are legally obliged to provide information on the location from which the website was accessed in order to combat criminal activity.

SSL encryption

To protect the transmission of confidential data via our forms and for security reasons, we use SSL encryption technology. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar displaying ‘https://’ and the padlock symbol shown in the browser. Data encrypted using SSL cannot be read by third parties during transmission.

Right to access, erasure and restriction of processing

You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about your stored personal data. In particular, this includes the origin and recipients of the data and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to rectify, restrict or erase this data.

Objection to unsolicited advertising emails or post

We hereby object to the use of the contact details published in accordance with the legal notice requirements for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. In the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example via spam emails or post, the operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may be the case that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, is integrated into this online service. This always requires the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as ‘third-party providers’) to obtain the user’s IP address. This is because, without the IP address, they would be unable to send the content to the respective user’s browser. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We endeavour to use only such content where the respective providers use the IP address solely for the purpose of delivering the content. However, we have no control over whether third-party providers store the IP address, for example for statistical purposes. Where we are aware of this, we inform users accordingly. If you do not wish to disclose any personal data, please log out of your Google account or use a plugin such as Ghostery to block the exchange of data.
