Sale of the mill by the Counts of Homberg

Acquisition of the mill by the Tschudi family. Operated until 1901 with two water wheels arranged one behind the other, a hulling passage to remove the husks from the grain and a grinding passage with millstones.

During a Corpus Christi procession, the villagers gather in front of the flour mill (left) and the barn (right).

The water wheel is replaced by a turbine. Since 2005 the turbine has served solely to generate electricity.

The Altbachmühle's first wood-gas tractor put into service for flour deliveries.
